WIDE OPEN WALLS 2018

Sacramento's 2018 Wide Open Walls Mural Festival Invites Back Members of Few and Far

Last year Few & Far was invited to participate in what technically counts as the biggest mural festival in the world. Wide Open Walls is in its third year, commissioning local and internationally known artists to beautify the city's streets. Ursula X Young, Meme & Deity painted a 330' wall on Power Inn Road over a week in August 2017 as one of over 40 murals that went up during the festival. It was hot as hell but the locals kept bringing us drinks and we had so much fun. Here's a few pics from last year

When the WOW organizers asked if our girl Dime would mentor the Girl Scouts and create a large mural on the side of the Sacramento Food Bank, we said, um hells yeah we will teach Girl Scouts how to spray! This is one of the best things about being an all-female crew: working with kids in the community.

And in more good WOW news, we'll also be participating in a big collaboration along with several other WOW alums to create the word SACRAMENTO on the Sacramento State campus. Ursula X Young will have the letter T! Come out to Sac State to watch it happen August 15th-16th.

A big shout out to the organizers of this festival – they see the value of public art and their support is putting Sacramento on the map.
